Civilian jobs inside Pakistan Army installations are some of the most sought-after openings for candidates who do not meet the commissioned-entry criteria — steady pay, a disciplined environment, and postings that are usually long-term. Ammunition Depot Malir Cantt, Karachi No. 9 has announced civilian vacancies, and applications must reach the depot by 19 October 2026.
Vacancies announced
The advertised posts are: Lab Assistant (BPS-07), Civil Mechanical Driver (BPS-04), Assistant Supervisor Fire (BPS-03), Fireman (BPS-02), and Sanitary Worker (BPS-01). Candidates from all over Pakistan with a valid domicile can apply. The education requirements run from Bachelor’s pass (for the Lab Assistant side) down through relevant diplomas and trade skills for the technical and support posts, and the age limit is 18 to 30 years. The advertisement does not state the number of vacancies against each post.
How to apply
This is a postal application — there is no online form. Prepare your application with attested copies of your educational documents, CNIC, domicile and PRC, along with a paid Bank Draft of Rs. 500 in favor of Commandant, Ammunition Depot Malir Cantt, Karachi. Send the complete package to the Commandant, Ammunition Depot Malir Cantt Karachi No. 9, and write the name of the post you are applying for in the right corner of the envelope. That envelope label matters more than people think — unmarked applications in bulk recruitment routinely end up in the wrong pile.
My honest take
Be realistic about the competition: Army civilian posts draw applicants from everywhere, and the physical and medical standards for depot work — especially fire and ammunition-handling environments — are taken seriously. Only apply if you genuinely meet the trade requirement for the post; a driver without a valid licence and experience, for example, is wasting the Rs. 500 draft. If you do qualify, these are honest, stable jobs, and the draft is the only official fee there is. Anyone asking for more money is not part of the process.
