The Auqaf & Religious Affairs Department, Government of Punjab, is hiring for its IT project “Integrated Operations Management and Establishment of Centralized Command and Control Room in the Punjab Auqaf Organization.” Two positions are open on contract basis under the Punjab Recruitment Policy 2004, and applications must reach the department by 15 October 2026.
Positions and eligibility
The first post is Administrator IT / Software Development Specialist — the senior role on the project. The second is System Operator / Software Data Entry Operator. Between them, the department is asking for Master’s and Intermediate qualifications respectively, from an HEC-recognized university or board, with one to five years of professional experience in the relevant field. The age limit is 20 to 35 years, and a Punjab domicile is mandatory. The advertisement does not state the number of vacancies, so treat this as a small project team rather than a mass recruitment.

My honest take
Small project teams like this are a solid entry into the Punjab government IT ecosystem, especially for candidates in Lahore. The System Operator post in particular is within reach of Intermediate-pass candidates with genuine computer skills — but be ready for your skills to actually be tested, because IT projects cannot bluff their way through a practical. And as always: the form is free on the official website. Do not pay anyone for it.
